VP Systems Engineering - CENSE
Lunar Space Payload Accelerator
I joined the Caidin Biotechnologies team in March 2021, where I assumed the role of Vice President of Systems Engineering. At the time, the company was participating in the Lunar Payload Accelerator program, which was supported by the Canadian Space Agency, Canada's Trade Commissioner in Los Angeles, and the MILO Institute (Arizona State University + Lockheed Martin). The accelerator program initiated product development on the CENSE bio-monitoring system, a powerful tool that leverages the team's space electronics design expertise to build a holistic tool for delivering health and performance insights from operators in extreme environments, particularly space.
The CENSE product development carried the team through all phases of the accelerator program, and Caidin was one of just four companies to complete the entire program. I had the opportunity to present the product and business case for CENSE in front of industry thought-leaders and private capital in Southern California.
Currently, the Caidin team is continuing development on the CENSE product, with ambitions to raise private capital in the near future.
